Support an economy of friends, neighbours and entrepreneurs who know you. Building connections in a community that will thrive by thinking and acting local first.
Local VS Non Local
More than ¾ of businesses in Ottawa are small businesses of 1- 20 employees:
Locally owned.
Live and work within Ottawa.
Makes independent purchasing decisions.
Promote social, environmental, & economic sustainability.
“Small-scale, locally owned businesses create communities that are more prosperous, connected, and generally better-off.”
A local small business needs to do well by doing good to provide a service or product you need or it’s not in business for long.
vs.
A non local multi national needs to do the same and provide dividends to shareholders, often a non local at whatever costs.
Significantly greater portions of our money is then cycled back through our local economy, neighbours in need, and to support our local Entrepreneurs ultimately strengthening the base of our whole community.
Local businesses not only pay their employees, they also spend money at other local businesses. That means by buying local, you help create jobs for your friends and neighbours, contribute to improved our infrastructure, Invest in socially and economically and environmentally,
Because we Live Here.
